Freight Forwarding Operations Assistant

Job Title

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end freight forwarding operations, including quotes, bookings, shipment monitoring, and file updates

• Communicate professionally with global agents, clients, and customs brokers

• Maintain shipment records and updates in CargoWise

• Ensure accurate documentation flow and timely shipment updates

• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure operational efficiency

• Support both import and export shipments (air and ocean), primarily in Asia–North America lanes

Must-Have Qualifications:

• Experience in both air and ocean freight handling

• Exposure to brokerage communications and customs processes

• Prior work with North American logistics firms

• Experience supporting Canadian cross-border operations

Working Environment:

• Full-time role, 8 hours per day, aligned with Eastern Time business hours

• Active daily communication via Microsoft Teams and Outlook

• Collaborative oversight by in-house operations management

• No invoicing or billing tasks required
