Lead /senior Frontend Engineer (100%, Zurich /remote)

Optiml is fast-growing PropTech startup with a mission to revolutionize investment decisions for real estate. We spun out of ETH Zurich in fall 2022 and raised money from top-notch US & EU funds: Innovation Endeavors (San Francisco – fund of former Google CEO Eric Schmidt) and Planet A (Berlin). Since then, we have rolled out our product across DACH + UK and raised $6M in the last 18mo, now with the team being 20 Optimists. We have won major awards and have a vision to create a new software category of Real Estate Decision Intelligence. In short: although we're only two years old, we're at the stage where we need more entrepreneurial and talented people to join our team as we expand our footprint.

Tasks

1. Architect, ship and maintain features in React/Typescript, delivering top performance and responsiveness
2. Come up with innovative solutions to solve our customers' problems.
3. Imagine reactive interfaces for customers that leverage our data and models.
4. Own the whole development lifecycle: planning, implementation & iteration
5. Collaborate with peers on architecture, design and code reviews.

Must-haves:

• 5+ years of experience architecting modern and scalable high-quality frontend products
• Deep expertise in React/TypeScript and a strong grasp of state management, component architecture, and performance optimization
• Experience integrating backend APIs and working closely with design/product
• Ability to contribute individually and within a team
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English
• Work permit for CH or EU

Nice-to-haves:

• Product design experience
• Broad financial/real estate knowledge
