This product engineering team in the intelligent sensing group is responsible for the success of mass production parts, including quality, yield, performance, manufacturing, and customer technical support. The team is also responsible for safe launch by planning, executing, analyzing, and completing the phase. The applicant will be responsible for understanding the requirements of the product in the new product development phase, and ensuring the product meets those requirements as it transitions to mass production.
The engineer will be exposed to various silicon technologies used in image sensors and processors, including silicon and color filter array processes, and will heavily utilize data analysis and statistical tools. The engineer will also characterize and analyze products on bench top testers and should be comfortable using various meters and test equipment. The engineer must be familiar with test concepts, design of experiment, and the concept of quality coverage vs cost of test, as well as basics of CMOS image sensor architecture and function. The candidate must be experienced with root cause and corrective action analysis, and ideally have experience with 8D generation and associated analysis tools like 5-whys, Ishikawa, FMEA, etc. The engineer will interact with various organizations including NPD, design, marketing, manufacturing, and planning.
The ideal candidate has experience with automotive industry safety standards and technologies like ASIL, and safe launch requirements and processes, and must be comfortable auditing the performance of a product in ramp phase against safe launch requirements and assessing its qualification against those requirements. They also will have experience with quality testing concepts like outlier detection.
