Responsibilities: This position is responsible for driving profitable sales and business growth, demonstrating leadership in the development of the inside sales team, fostering strong customer engagement, ensuring operational excellence, and overseeing performance measurement—all while upholding quality standards and a commitment to continuous improvement. Manages and leads sales activities for a territory by performing the following duties.
- Help maintain branch sales budget targets, ensuring profitable growth aligned with company objectives.
- Monitor and analyze market conditions, customer trends, and competitive activity to identify opportunities for expansion.
- Drive proactive sales strategies to grow share within existing accounts and new markets.
- Lead, coach, and motivate the inside sales team to achieve individual and collective goals.
- Provide ongoing training in product knowledge, sales techniques, and CRM (Salesforce) utilization.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture built on accountability and continuous improvement.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, ensuring satisfaction and loyalty.
- Ensure timely and accurate quote submissions, approvals, and follow-ups.
- Position TW Metals' value proposition beyond price, emphasizing solutions and service excellence.
- Ensure efficient use of resources, balancing profitability with customer service commitments.
- Identify gaps in performance and implement corrective actions to achieve targets.
- Continuously evaluate processes for efficiency, recommending improvements where needed.
- Champion TW Metals' commitment to excellence through teamwork and process improvement.
- Encourage innovation in sales approaches, leveraging technology and data-driven insights.
- Promote a culture of accountability, integrity, and customer-first focus.
- Must serve as liaison with corporate and regional sales groups to ensure all management processes and strategies are flowed down to inside account managers.
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree, preferably in business administration or related area
- Five years related industry sales experience
Requirements:
- Well-developed leadership skills with experience coaching, mentoring, and developing inside sales teams.
- Possess effective verbal and written communication skills
- Must have experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Willingness to learn and utilize mainframe programs (e.g., Metalware) and CRM (Salesforce) systems.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to analyze market conditions, customer trends, and competitive activity.
- Experience coordinating sales activities in alignment with company policies and procedures.
- Ability to manage resources efficiently.
