Oncor Electric Delivery Company LLC, headquartered in Dallas, is a regulated electricity transmission and distribution business that uses superior asset management skills to provide reliable electricity delivery to consumers. Oncor (together with its subsidiaries) operates the largest transmission and distribution system in Texas, delivering power to nearly 4 million homes and businesses and operating more than 143,000 miles of transmission and distribution lines in Texas.

The position will effectively supervise an organization that forecasts, plans and coordinates fleet maintenance programs for the entire Oncor System. This position will develop and maintain relationships across organizations with Oncor District Operations and external vendors to meet customer and client needs. The position will effectively supervise a group of employees by ensuring consistent application of company policies and procedures while providing counsel to encourage career growth and employee development.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Supervise an organization that proactively plans, analyzes and monitors maintenance activities as well as a group that forecasts, plans and coordinates maintenance work. Supervise other work groups as assigned.
  • Establish and promote Safety as a priority in all aspects of daily activities, including the safety and performance compliance for external vendors and internal hydraulic maintenance team to ensure personal and public safety. Hold employees accountable for their actions concerning safety.
  • Maintain a work environment in compliance with Company policies and guidelines that will promote employee success with emphasis on (but not limited to): Company policies, safety, diversity, communication, continuous process improvement, and employee development.
  • Promote a positive proactive team building atmosphere with other internal organizations, including Oncor District Operations, Legal, Human Resources, and Accounting to ensure internal and external stakeholder needs are met.
  • Resolve issues by making good logical business decisions based on experience and interpretation of Company policies.
  • Participate in multi-functional teams and serve in leadership roles as needed.
  • Implement and supervise processes to ensure proper storm assistance is provided as needed from this work group as well as assisting in storm restoration efforts as needed.
  • Responsible for continuous report and dashboard development and maintenance.
  • Responsible for implementing processes related to the achievement of business and financial performance objectives and customer satisfaction goals as determined by company.
  • Analyze workload to ensure sufficient and appropriate resources are available to meet objectives.
  • Demonstrate ability to improve efficiency of work processes, ability to manage highly sensitive and intense situations, and ability to use innovation in solving problems.
  • Refine, develop and implement system-wide process improvements for the maintenance group to progress this group meeting the company growth plans.
  • Implement employee development plans, performance appraisals, salary administration and schedule/conduct employee information and training sessions.
  • Perform all essential aspects and functions of the job as well as any other specific job requirements.

Skills:

  • Strong Leadership skills, problem solving/analytical skills, and interpersonal/teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to build solid working relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Ability to develop formal presentations, technical documents, and business cases.
  • Knowledge of and experience using Oncor systems (e.g., Maximo).

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.
  • 5 or more years of experience in a Project Management role is required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Management or a related degree with a focus in Project Management is encouraged to apply.
  • Certification or advanced credentials such as PMP, MBA, Six Sigma is encouraged to apply.
  • 2 plus years in a leadership/supervisory role is encouraged to apply.
