Position Summary

As a Senior Distribution Operations Center Technician at Oncor, you're responsible for coordinating technical support for dispatch and engineering functions to efficiently and safely operate the distribution system and to minimize outage times and maximize reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinates the creation and updating of distribution operating maps from construction prints/as-built notes and performs visual field inspections as necessary.
• Investigates and corrects Distribution Information System (DIS) connectivity errors.
• Provides ticket management support during storms or other contingencies (includes call-outs) when trouble ticket volume is high.
• Assists in clearing/restoring trouble tickets, sending work orders and answering the phone when necessary (includes call-outs).
• Project managing technology resource implementation supporting our stakeholders.
• Provides research of outage complaints.

Skills

• Advanced knowledge of Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software.
• Solid understanding of electrical connectivity.
• Ability to lead/coordinate work for a group.
• Project Management skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products.
• Strong interpersonal skills.

Education & Experience

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• Applicants with distribution experience are encouraged to apply.
• Applicants with experience using CAD or Geographic Information System (GIS) applications are encouraged to apply.
