Summary
To provide analytical and administrative support to the Distribution Services Business Operations Group to ensure timely and accurate completion of reports and invoice payments. This position will work closely with the Business Operations analysts and billing specialists to ensure invoice accuracy while adhering to internal policies and guidelines. This position will be responsible for working with personnel from multiple workgroups such as Construction Services, Power Management and Distribution System (PMDS), contractor billing staff to resolve billing issues as necessary.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Review high volume of invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
- Review large sets of data (i.e. comparing timesheets against invoices, verifying correct billable units are used)
- Answer high-volume phone calls and emails from vendors and internal groups
- Ensures contractors comply with contractual terms and conditions pertaining to contractor invoicing
- Research billing issues for internal and external stakeholders to determine proper resolution
- Review supporting documentation provided by construction contractors to ensure they match contractor invoicing
- Perform accurate data entry of large sets of Excel data into multiple tracking tools used by the billing group
- Willing to work outside traditional hours if needed
Skills
- Outstanding communication abilities, both oral and written
- Ability to analyze complex issues and formulate understandable presentations and deliver messages in a clear and concise manner
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Outlook
- Proficiency with Excel is required
- Ability to work independently and with others with minimal supervision
Education and Experience
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent is required
- 2 plus years of invoicing (Accounts Receivable/Payable), accounting, or payroll experience is required
- 2 plus years of experience using electronic billing systems is strongly preferred
