Media Operations Project Manager

This is an exciting role to manage medium-scale data and tech projects for one of Omnicom's largest and most prestigious automotive clients.

You will be managing projects that are time-bound, requiring management of deadlines and ensuring that all stakeholders are aware of their responsibilities. You will be involved throughout the project lifecycle, including scoping the requirements, time and material estimation, planning and assignment, coordination across teams and departments, implementation of agile methodology in the project team, maintenance of project hygiene, sprint planning, project tracking, communications and status reporting.

In addition, you will manage operations for the maintenance of any existing and new applications, which are always on, via a helpdesk system.

You will also be responsible for providing regular status reports and other project execution-related communications to the senior stakeholders within the team also responsible for this client.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver client projects within deadlines, hitting all milestones, resulting into client satisfaction of highest degree
  • Ensure all project deliverables are of highest standard by establishing appropriate quality control methodologies and ensuring that all team members are abiding by
  • Support the Operations Director, Technology Services and Omni Customisation & Data Operations Director to implement, follow and optimise an agile development methodology
  • Proactively identify and resolve blockers that may pose any risks to the project execution and deliveries
  • Report on project resource utilisation by conducting detailed effort estimation for all project work, ensuring all team members are recording time spent on project and comparing planned vs actual effort spent
  • Maintain and execute a regular communication plan for major stakeholders to keep them informed about the status, progress and any risks in the project execution and deliveries

Ideal Candidate

  • Proven track record of managing medium to large scale technology projects, especially following agile scrum methodology is essential, but experience of working in both waterfall and agile project management methodologies would be highly desirable
  • Project management experience in one or more of the following areas:
    • Data and Analytics infrastructure projects i.e. building data warehouse, data lake etc.
    • Data and analytics division of an advertising/marketing agency
    • Digital systems Integration
  • Experience of managing distributed project teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience of client-facing written and verbal communication will be essential.
  • Good understanding of the data and analytics platforms, the ecosystem and interoperability of these platforms
  • Knowledge of Salesforce and Tableau an advantage
  • Strong knowledge of project management tools i.e. highly desirable
  • Having relevant project management certifications would be a strong advantage
  • Highly organised and able to direct multiple work streams under pressure, ensuring all are on track
  • Ability to apply depth control and be capable at managing multiple work streams, and directing specialist resource as required
  • Collaborative and able to work across and direct different teams as needed
  • Proactive – ability to understand the client needs and opportunities and utilise the resources at hand to create the maximum impact, keeping in mind the short-term vs long-term development goals.

The EMEA team is responsible for global and regional client relationships led from London, as well as the development of new data-driven marketing capabilities. They form part of our global team and collaborate closely with local market Annalect teams across EMEA as well as regional Omnicom agency partners.

Our standard working hours are 9:30 – 17:30, but we offer the ability to flex around core hours of 10:30 – 16:30 to give our people flexibility on how they manage their working day, whether that's in the office or working remotely. For example, you could start work at 8:30 and finish at 16:30 or start at 10:30 and finish at 18:30.
