Radar Systems Engineer

This role supports the modernization and deployment of advanced radar systems across multiple operational sites. The position focuses on defining technical requirements, supporting system implementation, and validating radar performance in operational environments. Multiple openings are available to support ongoing and future work.

This position is responsible for contributing to the development, implementation, and activation of radar systems. The role combines systems engineering, field engineering, and analytical responsibilities, supporting radar concepts from requirements definition through operational deployment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Define, document, and manage technical radar system requirements
  • Support concept development and validation, including both operational and technical requirements
  • Provide engineering support for field implementation and system deployment activities
  • Develop procedures for radar installation, implementation, and activation
  • Analyze radar data at operational sites to evaluate system architecture suitability and interface performance
  • Perform configuration management (CM) activities
  • Support Program Implementation Plans (PIPs)
  • Conduct site surveys and review radar activation and deployment plans

Required qualifications include:

  • Background and experience in radar engineering
  • Experience with radar system design, analysis, or implementation
  • Strong understanding of radar operational concepts and requirements development
  • Experience supporting field engineering or system deployment activities
  • Ability to analyze radar data and assess system performance

Educational and experience requirements:

Senior-level: Minimum of 20 years' experience with a Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering discipline. Master's degree may be substituted for 3 years' experience. PhD may be substituted for 3 years' experience. Compensation Range: $138,420 – $264,300.

Mid-level: Minimum of 10 years' experience with a Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering discipline. Master's degree may be substituted for 3 years' experience. PhD may be substituted for 3 years' experience. Compensation Range: $114,390 – $198,575.

Junior-level: Minimum of 5 years' experience with a Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering discipline. Master's degree may be substituted for 3 years' experience. PhD may be substituted for 3 years' experience. Compensation Range: $64,620 – $149,200.

Preferred/nice-to-have qualifications include:

  • Experience with non-cooperative radar systems
  • Familiarity with system integration and interface analysis
  • Experience working in operational or field environments
  • Knowledge of government or aviation radar systems and processes

This role may require travel to operational sites. Candidates should be comfortable working across engineering, operations, and program management teams.

Compensation at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff, compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked. While monetary compensation is important, it's just one component of Noblis' total compensation package.
