Project/Mechanical Engineer

Location: Sapulpa, OK

Compensation: $80000 - $90000 annually

Contractor Work Model: Onsite

Job Summary: The Project Engineer works to plan projects, establish project criteria, coordinate project reviews and ensure proper completion of project elements.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering

3-5 years of experience

Knowledge of applicable laws, codes and regulations, including ASME piping codes

Knowledge of engineering concepts, practices and procedures

Experience with relevant software applications (i.e. Microsoft Office, etc.)

Knowledge of 2D & 3D Drafting (They use Inventor & Compress)

Duties and Essential Job Functions

  • Review and interpret engineering data, customer specifications, including industry codes and specifications to select the most effective solutions.
  • Prepare and submit vendor document packages including, but not limited to drawings, data sheets, ITP's, welding and quality procedures and any other required documents.
  • Discuss and lay out project specifications: make detailed plans to accomplish goals.
  • Review customer purchase orders for compliance with proposal and outline special requirements to ensure all customer requirements are understood by the organization.
  • Coordinate with Order Entry, Designers, Purchasing, Manufacturing and QC with Kick-Off meetings, reviewing approval/fabrication drawings, scope changes and technical questions to ensure customer requirements are communicated and captured.
  • Draft reports for customers: check technical accuracy of work.
  • Manage all aspects of the application, design, and engineering of customer specific requirements for all products.
  • Create and maintain tools and supporting documentation.
  • May be responsible for project management duties from sales through shipment.
