We are looking for a Principal Java Cloud Platform Engineer who is passionate and creative about building complex architectures to join our Cloud Service Engineering Infrastructure team. You will have an opportunity to drive the design, development and deployment of our next generation cloud Analytics Applications.
As a Principal Java Cloud Platform Engineer on the Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence team, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software cloud application platform. This work is not routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. You will have the opportunity to learn an exciting new product built on innovative cloud technology, but you must be curious about technology and be willing to get your hands 'dirty' while learning in this fast-paced environment. You must have an engineering approach and always be looking to improve the product, the processes involved in getting those products to market, and yourself.
10+ years of professional experience with considerable experience in defining and implementing enterprise grade software applications. Professional hands-on extensive experience in Java, J2EE applications and API development is required. Professional hands-on extensive experience in building REST APIs using Springboot/ Hibernate frameworks. Professional hands-on extensive expertise in developing docker containers deployable in Kubernetes is a must. In-depth understanding of Spring, Spring Boot, Micronaut, Virtual Machines, Oracle DB, etc, their configuration and tuning is highly desired. Strong high-level and low-level design skills for building software systems. Solid understanding of Software Development Life Cycle, Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery. Experience with Performance Engineering at various levels. Full SDLC life-cycle experience (release of new features, patching, upgrading, maintenance etc.). Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills. Proven track record to learn and rapidly adapt to new challenges. Quick learner, ability to multitask, prioritize and solve complex engineering problems and provide solutions. Up-to-date on the latest industry trends; able to articulate trends and potential clearly and confidently. Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc. A Bachelors and/ or Masters Degree in Computer Science or in Engineering is required for this role. Lastly, experience with multi-region cloud infrastructure such as AWS, Azure, OCI is highly desired.
