This position will be assigned to the 72d Force Support Squadron Marketing Office. This position is Regular Part-Time (RPT) with a minimum of 20 guaranteed hours per week. Responsibilities include assisting in developing, implementing and managing marketing programs and accounts for the Force Support Squadron. The role involves assisting the Marketing Director in determining marketing techniques and strategies to increase efficiency, enhance participation and increase financial income to FSS activities. It also includes administering surveys, collecting data, tabulating responses and assisting the Marketing Director in analyzing results. The position requires keeping the Marketing Director informed of consumer trends and their application to the activities. Additionally, the role involves attending FSS events and providing constructive marketing feedback to the activity manager. It also includes assisting in planning marketing campaigns designed to enhance participation in FSS activities by considering the characteristics of the target audience and the media mix necessary to reach them. The position further involves assisting the Marketing Director in developing communication strategies to determine the most effective advertising vehicles and appropriate media mix. Providing or arranging for photographic support for FSS functions is also part of the role. Preparing and presenting briefings to base functions such as newcomers orientation and Commander's call is required. The position is responsible for creating, developing and producing program flyers, brochures, pamphlets, posters, calendars and news articles in support of the marketing program and Force Support Squadron. Other related duties may also be performed as assigned.
Qualifying experience includes experience in web design and maintenance. Knowledge of HTML web code is strongly recommended. Applicant must have progressively responsible administrative, professional and or technical experience which provided a general knowledge of marketing/advertising principles and practices. Experience must have demonstrated the ability to perform research, select, arrange and compose promotional materials and maintain well-organized files. In addition, applicant should have specialized experience which demonstrated the applicant's ability to design and layout advertising copy and artwork using desktop publishing software, word processing or other software.
