Maintenance Technician

Our company is seeking a mechanically and technically-minded, people-oriented, and results-driven Maintenance Technician to work in a dynamic and fast-paced distribution center. In this role, the Maintenance Technician will handle a wide variety of tasks, from basic carpentry and troubleshooting facility issues to coordinating both preventative and reactive maintenance work and handling small building and grounds projects. Much of this role is geared toward warehouse building maintenance, so a strong facilities maintenance acumen is essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and diagnose technical issues
  • Manage and lead maintenance schedules on building and equipment
  • Service equipment at regular intervals, including replacing or repairing defective parts
  • Perform a variety of skilled duties such as general cleaning, painting, resolving basic plumbing issues, and general carpentry on items like doors, floors, docks, overhead doors, roof downspouts, product racks, and materials handling equipment
  • Regular use of hand power tools and building equipment, electrical, hydraulics, and pneumatics
  • Work with building access controls and security
  • Coordinate work orders in a systematic and organized manner
  • Maintain high attention to detail
  • Respond to building and grounds requests in a timely manner
  • Examine, test, and isolate defects in equipment, replacing or repairing defective parts as needed, including wiring, switches, outlets, and motors
  • Perform grounds keeping, including trash disposal, keeping walks clear, and possible snow removal

Essential Skills:

  • Facilities maintenance
  • Electrical troubleshooting
  • Forklift maintenance
  • Mechanical and technical maintenance understanding
  • 2–5 years of building and grounds experience
  • Experience with overhead door maintenance
  • Ability to work safely

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of maintenance technician tasks
  • Proficiency with preventive maintenance

Work Environment:

The position is based in a climate-controlled warehouse, operating Monday through Friday from 7 AM to 5:30 PM at the Crossroads and Apache locations.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract position based out of Tulsa, OK.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
