ASRC Federal System Solutions supports the FAA NAS ESS (Federal Aviation Administration National Airspace System Engineering Support Services) contract. Join our growing team as an Electrical Engineer Level 1 in support of the FAA's Power & Environmental Systems Team. Responsibilities include designing, testing, fabricating, and installing FAA approved electrical and power transmission capability modification kits as required to enhance equipment function or replace obsolete equipment. Analyze facility and workstation electrical system power supplies and availability. Make recommendations as to power system upgrades, modifications, and installations. Provide technical assistance in the installation, operation, and maintenance of equipment and services. Troubleshoot equipment failures, conduct testing of equipment and services. Review program-related documents. Plan daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, job description, and Supervisor's instruction in such a way as to maximize output. Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to any training made available by the company. Relay any unsafe conditions and/or practices to the appropriate supervisor. Immediately correct any unsafe conditions as the best of own ability. Analyze facility and workstation electrical system power supplies and availability. Make recommendations as to power system upgrades, modifications, and installations.

Requirements include US Citizenship or Permanent Residency required. All applicants must have resided in the United States for the past 3 years. On-site presence will be as required by the FAA. Ability to travel up to 25%. Experience working in a team environment. Coursework in areas including electrical, electronics, signals, analog, and digital communications. Good written and spoken communication including developing technical documentation. Ability to pass an FAA background investigation (US Citizenship or Permanent Residency required). Ability to coordinate efforts with others for the timely completion of projects and deliverables.

Education/Experience: Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET (Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology) accredited program in an Engineering discipline; consideration given to other technical degrees such as computer science, mathematics, physics, aerospace, or chemistry. Knowledge and understanding of 3-Phase Power Distribution, Switch Boards, Breakers, Engine Generators, UPS/Uninterruptible Power Systems, and DC Bus is desired.
