Volunteer Coordinator

Details: Auxiliary + Schedule: Part-time days, 9 am - 3 pm, Monday through Friday, but must be flexible based on the needs of the department + Hospital: Ascension St John + Location: Broken Arrow, OK

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the activities of the department.
• Conduct recruitment, selection and training of volunteers.
• Coordinate the schedules and daily activities of volunteers.
• Liaison between leadership and volunteer resources to match needs of department with skills of volunteers.
• May also organize volunteer recognition program(s) and assist with fundraising efforts.

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration: Certification specializing in Volunteer Services preferred. Education: High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Additional Preferences

Experience: prior gift shop experience preferred prior leadership experience preferred experience in the community to recruit volunteers
