Field Engineer

Field Engineer Opportunity in Southern California

We currently have an opportunity for a Field Engineer in Southern California to work on one of our projects located on the I-5 North.

Responsibilities:

• Works closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, Foreman, and Crews on Project Deliverables.
• Process/manage material deliveries – ensure that materials received are properly inspected for quantity and quality and are in compliance with contract documents.
• Manage and negotiate subcontractor and material contracts.
• Assist in developing and updating the project schedule.
• Coordinate and schedule shop drawings and submittals.
• Maintain a complete and current record of submittals, approvals, and resubmittals, including a file of letters of transmittal and dates of each transaction.
• High level of involvement in the operations of our cost control system and analysis of construction costs.
• Participate in monthly forecasting revenue and cost accruals.
• Accumulate all necessary data and prepare monthly pay estimates.
• Process and estimate change orders and requests for information as directed by the Project Manager.
• Follows OHLA USA policies and procedures, including safety policies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field
• Understands construction methodologies
• MS office products (Word, Outlook, Excel)

• Independent/Collaborative Team Member: able to take direction and work in a team environment.
• Time Management: meets deadlines and is well organized.
• Open to carrying out various tasks in both field office capacity and outside at the project site.

Compensation: The annual base salary rate being offered for this position is USD $80,000.00 to USD $82,000.00 per year. Please note that the salary range listed is specific to the role listed in California. Hourly rates may vary for different individuals in the same role based on various factors including, but not limited to, experience, education, and performance.
