Ottawa County is recruiting to fill Social Service Worker Investigator in our Child Protective Services division. This position is part of a team of community members whose goal is to ensure children are safe and well cared for. The team receives allegations of child abuse or neglect, investigates as directed, and connects families to services needed to provide an environment where children can thrive.
Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree in human service-related field; or bachelor's degree in any field and two years of experience in human service occupation; or completion of Child Protective Services Fellowship; or associate degree in human service related field; or five years of experience in human service related work. Note: a bachelor's degree in human service-related field is required within five years of hire.
Pay range: $21.95 per hour entry wage, with additional pay supplements for job related bachelor's degree, upon completion of CORE child welfare training curriculum and upon completion of initial probationary period.
