This position reports to: Manager R&D Engineering
ABB's Process Automation business area enables customers to operate some of the world's largest and most complex industrial infrastructures, helping them outrun - leaner and cleaner. We offer a broad range of automation, electrification and digital solutions for process, hybrid and maritime industries, including industry-specific integrated control and software as well as measurement and analytics solutions and services.
Bachelor of Science Degree (or Master of Science Degree) in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering required. Minimum of 4 years of related experience, depending on degree. Understanding of embedded real-time platforms, and experience, training or knowledge developing and de-bugging real-time applications in embedded electronic environments. Experience, training, or knowledge of Field Programmable gate Array (FPGA) development tools and simulation tools using VHDL programming language. Experience with C and C++ programming languages, and experience using a software debugging environment. Knowledge of ABB's Harmony and Symphony Plus Control Systems and their configuration and operation is an added advantage. Up to 5% travel.
