Mechanical Design Engineer

We are looking for a mechanical design engineer with 2+ years of custom machine design experience. The ideal candidate should be able to make custom designs using Solidworks per customer specification.

Responsibilities include:

• Design of automated machinery and/or tooling.
• Produce complete assembly and detail drawings.
• Review/check engineering work for completeness and accuracy.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and peers.
• Maintain project related documents, records, and files.
• Represent the company to customers and suppliers as needed to define/review projects, solve problems, and provide technical expertise.
• Provide technical assistance to Sales, Customer Service, Purchasing, Manufacturing, QA and Assembly as needed.
• Construct Bills of Material (BOMs) through ERP and/or PDM systems.
• Input and release of engineered components and assemblies to purchasing/planning via ERP software.
• Perform drawing/document revisions and/or Engineering Change Requests (ECR).

Must have:

• 2+ years direct experience doing machine design. (Automated Machinery a PLUS!)
• Proficient designing in Autocad and Solidworks.
• Proficient doing Engineering Admin in ERP system (BOMs, change orders, etc).
• Ability to communicate and work in team based environment.

Job Type & Location: This is a contract to hire position based out of North Canton, OH.

Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $43.27 - $48.08/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
