Air Reserve Technician (ART) Position
This is an Air Reserve Technician (ART) position. ARTs are part of the regular career civil service and enjoy all the benefits granted to Federal employees in the competitive civil service. The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a Personnel Systems Manager (PSM) and direct the management of the Personnel Data System (PDS).
Duties include:
- Planning, directing, controlling all aspects of the various Personnel Data Systems (PDS).
- Providing PDS customers with assistance/training.
- Providing military personnel advisory services to commanders and staff on all personnel systems programs.
Requirements include:
- At least one year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-09, or equivalent in other pay systems.
- Knowledge of a varied range of Contingency Response transportation concepts, principles, practices.
- Skill in applying analytical and evaluative methods and techniques to solve issues.
- Ability to communicate both orally and in writing, clearly and with technical accuracy.
This is an Air Reserve Technician (ART) position. The incumbent is required to meet and maintain AFRC requirements. Work schedule will be aligned to allow incumbent to fully participate in Unit Training Assemblies (UT As). The incumbent's regular assignments are ART duties; however, the incumbent may be assigned some non-ART duties, generally not to exceed 30 percent of total responsibilities.
