This is an entry-to-intermediate level role designed for individuals with strong technical aptitude and a passion for problem-solving in a manufacturing environment. You will start by supporting day-to-day production and process improvement tasks, while receiving hands-on mentorship and formal training to develop into a full engineering role.
Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborate with engineers to develop, test, and refine manufacturing processes
- Gather and analyze production data to uncover trends and drive improvements
- Assist with machine setup, troubleshooting, and process documentation
- Work with production teams to implement workflow and equipment enhancements
- Maintain detailed records of process parameters, quality checks, and maintenance activities
Required qualifications:
- Associate degree in Engineering Technology, Industrial Technology, or related field—or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Strong mechanical and/or electrical aptitude.
- Solid skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Sharp problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Must be open to working in a manufacturing environment with the potential of working near hydraulic oils, cutting lubricants, and aluminum materials.
- Must be willing to complete hands-on investigation and troubleshooting within equipment to countermeasure issues and to determine improvement activity.
Preferred qualifications:
- Prior experience in a manufacturing setting
- Familiarity with CAD software or basic drafting (GD&T knowledge a plus)
- Understanding of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles
