Join a dynamic team as a Controls Design Engineer at a leading Automation Solutions provider specializing in life sciences, food & beverage, transportation, consumer products, and energy industries. You will be instrumental in designing and developing complete systems schematics and electrical specifications for factory automation projects. Responsibilities include: designing and developing complete systems schematics and electrical specifications for the manufacture and installation of factory automation projects; determining design approaches and parameters, and selecting components and equipment based on specification analysis and reliability; formulating and producing complete electrical schematics including power distribution, motor control, safety, PLC, PC and/or robot I/O, analog I/O, fuse and wire sizing, and detail panel components; integrating off-the-shelf equipment and electronic components into systems, including network and serial communications, motion control equipment, analog instrumentation, vision inspection systems, electrical and ultrasonic welding equipment, and other electrically controlled systems; and collaborating with Systems programmers to define the best sequencing, safety, HMI, and overall process into a software structure.
Essential Skills: Electrical controls systems design experience; strong experience with vision systems, specifically Cognex and camera supervision with PLC, Omron; experience with robotics, machine building, and automation system environments; hands-on experience with PLCs and robotic control systems and machine operation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications: Minimum of an Associate's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering is strongly preferred; ability to travel domestically to customer sites 25% of the time, typically involving a few multiple-day visits a month.

Job Type & Location: This is a Permanent position based out of Lewis Center, OH. Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $135000.00/yr.
