Direct Care Staff Member
Direct Service Provider Hand to Hand is looking to hire a new staff member to work at our adult day program located in Westerville, OH. We provide services for people with developmental disabilities in a supportive group setting. Staff members must be reliable and passionate about helping our participants at the center and in the community. Compassion, patience, and an ability to work in a group environment is a must. We will provide all the training and resources to empower staff to have successful relationships with the participants.
Direct Care Job Tasks Include:
- Working one on one with individuals to help them meet their goals. This includes indoor activities, assisting with preparing meals, exercising, and communication skills.
- We all work together and go out to the community as a group.
- Assisting with driving participants in a company van
Qualifications:
- Staff members must be able to pass a background check and be 1st aid/CPR certified. We will assist with both.
- Highschool diploma or equivalent.
- Staff that can help drive can work up to 40 hours a week and receive a higher pay rate.
Program Hours:
9-2pm, M-F. Pay rate is based off experience (working with people with disabilities, the elderly, or children). $16-$18/hour.
