Transportation Engineer 4
What you will do:
- Lead the planning and oversight of major investments program projects, including reviewing scopes for funding, approving designs, and signing engineering documents as a registered professional engineer.
- Represent the administrator in coordinating with FHWA, districts, and executive leadership, serving as liaison and ensuring program activities align with strategic objectives.
- Develop, revise, and enforce engineering policies and program guidance, staying current with industry advancements and conducting quality assurance reviews to ensure consistent standards across districts.
- Manage project funding, scheduling, and performance, using ODOT's project management system (Ellis) to monitor progress, authorize fund releases, and troubleshoot issues affecting project delivery.

Qualifications: Licensed as registered professional engineer by Ohio State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers & Surveyors; 12 mos. exp. as Transportation Engineer 3, 85643; if assigned to operate a state vehicle to travel to & inspect project sites, must possess valid driver's license.
