Program Support Specialist – Home and Community-Based Services (Medicaid Health Systems Specialist)
The Ohio Department of Medicaid (ODM) is seeking an experienced healthcare professional to be part of our Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) Policy Team. The HCBS Policy Team is responsible for policy development and oversight of a variety of state-wide programs aimed at supporting the needs of individuals located throughout their community. Programs include:
- 1915(c) waiver programs operated by the Ohio Department of Aging (ODA), the Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD), and ODM
As the Program Support Specialist – Home and Community-Based Services, your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting functions of statewide Long-Term Services and Support (LTSS) Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) programs: Ohio Home Care, PASSPORT, Assisted Living, Level 1, SELF, and Individual Options.
- Coordinating requests for edits to information within ODM's case management system.
- Coordinating and tracking amendments to the HCBS waiver programs and applications.
- Coordinating and tracking amendments to HCBS-related rules including identifying and tracking rule filing timelines.
- Coordinating constituent inquiries among Policy Team and providing responses to communications received from internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitoring and managing requests to gather and track documentation from legacy case management systems.
- Assisting with inquiries, complaints, and grievances to identify appropriate program and/or policy section for assignment and routing.

Qualifications:
- Completion of undergraduate core program in business administration, social or behavioral science, health or statistics; additional 24 months exp. specific to subject area of which 12 months exp. in use of spreadsheet and database software. Note: education & experience to be commensurate with approved position description on file.
- Or 24 months experience as Medicaid Health Systems Analyst, (65291).
- Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment.
