How you will contribute/position summary:

Odyssey Behavioral Healthcare's Eating Disorder Treatment Network provides a supportive environment and personalized approach for individuals seeking treatment for a variety of eating disorder conditions. The AVP of Operations for the Eating Disorder Network has responsibility for the clinical, financial, and operational success of highly specialized eating disorder treatment facilities operating along a continuum of care. Working with network and facility leaders, the AVP of Operations shall have leadership oversight across multiple treatment locations and is responsible for clinical quality and program integrity.

Leads with the treatment philosophy at front of mind in ensuring that clients and families are provided compassionate, individualized, high-quality, evidence-based care with a high level of focus on customer service. Consistently models and upholds company values of service, accountability, respect, collaboration, flexibility, and integrity.

Essential responsibilities:

  1. Collaborates with Eating Disorder Network CEO, network and facility leaders, to implement operational objectives that promote clinical excellence, client-centered care, and client safety.
  2. Leads and supports development initiatives for organic DeNovo and service line expansion opportunities in collaboration with development and operations teams, ensuring growth objectives are successfully achieved.
  3. Ensures clinical, nursing, and direct care services and practices are aligned with company priorities: 5-star service, client safety, clinical excellence, and client-centered care.
  4. Creates a culture and environment that is focused on fulfilling operational objectives in alignment with the company's vision, treatment philosophy, and core values.
  5. Ensures achievement of business objectives through day-to-day operational, financial, clinical, and regulatory oversight.
  6. Effectively manages resources to meet the needs of clients while maximizing resources and minimizing waste.
  7. Ensures the admissions process is smooth, efficient, and customer focused at every location.
  8. Ensures the timely submission of operational reviews and key performance metrics; interprets metrics and proactively adapts operations as needed.
  9. Provides regular coaching, mentorship, and supervision to facility-based leaders; collaborates to overcome challenges and enhance effectiveness and efficiency of network operations.
  10. Promotes professional growth and development of team members throughout the network, championing effective teamwork and critical thinking.
  11. Ensures compliance with all licensure, accreditations, contracts, state, and federal laws.
  12. Monitors and continuously improves program quality through research and application of industry best practices.
  13. Promotes systems of communication and collaboration between Admissions, Business Development, Utilization Review, Finance, and facility-based team members.
  14. Balances team and individual responsibilities; exhibits objectivity and openness to others' views; gives and welcomes feedback; puts team success over own interests.
  15. Provides resources and direct assistance as needed in establishing or refining policies and procedures, performance improvement plans, and outcome measures.

Additional:

  1. Maintains effective relationships within the behavioral health field.
  2. Maintains knowledge of emerging research ensuring clinical programs deliver proven clinically excellent practices.
  3. Maintains knowledge of changing federal, state, and licensure requirements.
  4. Conducts regular reviews of clinical key indicators with facility leadership in concert with network leadership.
  5. Advises and assists in developing programs and program schedules, as needed.
  6. Attends select national conferences to maintain awareness of emerging best practices.
  7. Provides consultation to facility leaders on managing difficult or emotional customer situations.
  8. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

What we are seeking/education and experience:

Requires a master's degree in psychology, social work, nursing, or a closely related field. Must have a minimum of 7+ years of leadership experience within a behavioral healthcare setting and a minimum of 3+ years of experience with eating disorder treatment services.

Other requirements:

Requires valid state driver's license.
