This job assumes responsibility for daily data entry, daily auditing and monitoring as well as daily follow-up and weekly and monthly reporting, maintains assigned database(s) and generates reports for PI department, as well as improvement teams and individual clinical departments, works closely and collaboratively with improvement teams to abstract data, analyze data and utilize data to drive improvement and also prepares presentations for improvement teams, designs reports to meet regulatory requirements for auditing and assist in submitting data to regulatory agencies; and manages improvement meetings.

Education

Required - Bachelor's degree

Work Experience

Required - 2 years related experience OR Master's degree General knowledge and understanding of the principles and theories of quality management and continuous quality improvement.

Preferred- Knowledge of regulatory and accrediting standards

Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs)

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally
  • Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of information
  • Must be proficient with Windows-style applications, various software packages specific to role and keyboard.
  • Positive interpersonal skills and communication skills
  • Self-directed with excellent organization and prioritization skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

Job Duties

  • Enters data into worksheets in a timely manner.
  • Updates and customizes as needed.
  • Prepares reports and presentations for performance improvement meetings.
  • Distributes and presents data as needed.
  • Audits worksheets for completeness and accuracy.
  • Performs audits of other databases for completeness and accuracy.
