We're hiring an HR Operations Executive to join our People & Culture team and play a pivotal role in ensuring smooth onboarding, background verification, and HR operational excellence. This role is designed for someone who thrives on structure, attention to detail, and process improvement—someone who takes pride in ensuring that every Diver's journey with Oceans begins on the right note.

Accountability

As an HR Operations Executive, your success will be defined by your ability to manage onboarding, compliance, and HR operations seamlessly. You'll ensure all new hires experience a professional, efficient, and engaging introduction to Oceans, while maintaining accurate documentation and supporting broader HR initiatives that shape our culture. Here's how you'll make an impact:

Onboarding & Background Verification

  • Manage the complete end-to-end onboarding process for new Divers, ensuring a professional and positive experience.
  • Oversee background screening processes from initiation to closure, ensuring accuracy and compliance within stipulated SLAs.
  • Planning and execution of Orientation program liaising with new joinees and internal stakeholders. Prepare and distribute welcome gifts.
  • Ensure all onboarding documentation and formalities are completed in a timely and compliant manner.

Operational Support & Compliance

  • Maintain and update trackers regularly to ensure accurate and timely reporting of onboarding and HR-related activities.
  • Prepare, document, and distribute HR Team meeting minutes; ensure timely follow-up and closure of action items.
  • Support broader HR operational processes including personal folder management, data compliance, and administrative requirements.

Employee Engagement & HR Initiatives

  • Assist in the planning and execution of company-wide employee engagement programs and events.
  • Contribute to creating a supportive, inclusive, and engaging workplace culture.
  • Provide operational assistance for HR-led initiatives across teams.

Continuous Improvement & Ad-Hoc Support

  • Stay updated on HR best practices, compliance requirements, and industry trends.
  • Recommend improvements to streamline HR processes and enhance efficiency.
  • Undertake additional HR operational tasks and projects as assigned.

Colleagues

You will work very closely with the HR team, reporting directly to the Senior Specialist - HR Operations -Shanasha Dabrera.

Together, you'll deliver a world-class employee experience for every Diver from day one.

Skills & Qualifications

At Oceans, we believe in T-shaped individuals—those who bring deep expertise in one area, paired with broad curiosity and interests. As an HR Operations Executive, your vertical focus will be onboarding and HR operations, while your horizontal strengths should include process management, compliance, and employee engagement.

To excel in this role, you should have:

  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in HR operations, onboarding, or people administration.
  • Education: A degree in a related field. CIPM will be an advantage.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong execution skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Ownership: A strong sense of accountability and follow-through.
  • Communication: Professional written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with team members and new hires.
  • Organization: Ability to maintain structured workflows, trackers, and documentation.
  • Collaboration: Adaptable, approachable, and capable of working across multiple functions.
  • Confidentiality: Handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity.

Nice to have:

  • Experience: Experience working in a MNG/global set up.
  • Tools: Familiarity with HRIS platforms, Google Workspace, and project management tools like Asana or Notion.
  • Culture-Building: Experience supporting engagement or recognition programs.
