Position Summary

Due to an increase in workload and project demands, we are looking to a Service Technician to complement our highly skilled Workshop team. This is a permanent position based in our Jandakot Workshop with plenty of opportunities to go offshore on an as-required basis.

We are seeking for candidates that possess Trade Qualification in Electrical background ONLY with experience in the Oil and Gas industry.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Ensure that the Safety policies and procedures are understood and adhered to so far as is reasonably practicable in order to ensure a safe working environment
  • Promote a strong HSE culture at all times
  • Assembly and Testing of Electronic equipment
  • Servicing of subsea tooling and subsea assets
  • Assembly and testing of Engineered tooling
  • Reading and comprehending hydraulic and electrical schematics
  • Reading and comprehending engineering drawings, specifications, and procedures
  • Operation of general hand, hydraulic and air tools
  • Fault finding work in Mechanical/Hydraulic/Electronic tooling
  • Completion of testing and servicing paperwork to a high standard
  • Data entry into Project management and Asset management software
  • Completing quality checks on tools to ensure proper assembly, design and functionality are being maintained
  • Travelling off site for tool testing as requested by customers
  • Travelling to offshore locations to perform work
  • Possibility to travel Internationally to assist operations as required.

Qualifications

  • Relevant Trade Qualification in Electrical
  • 3-5 years' experience in a similar role
  • Current COVID-19 Vaccinations required for Offshore work
  • Must be able to pass OGUK medical
  • Current BOSIET, CA-EBS training
  • Offshore experience in Oil and Gas, ROV, ROV Tooling, Subsea assets
  • BOSIET or FOET
  • Forklift License

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics (Optional)

  • Proficient computer skills (e.g. Word and Excel)
  • Knowledge of safety standards (e.g. Step Back 5x5, JSEA, HSEQ systems etc.)
  • A keen learner with good approach to learning
  • Good mechanical aptitude and understanding, ability to solve practical problems
  • Ability to work independently without supervision as well as part of a team
  • Must be able to obtain a valid Passport and any other regionally mandated offshore work requirement documents as appropriate.
  • Ability to work in a busy workshop and Offshore Environment
