As the Mainframe Technical Service Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the technical operations and maintenance of OCBC's mainframe systems. You will lead a team of technical specialists to ensure the stability, performance, and security of mainframe environments that support critical banking applications. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to manage service delivery in a fast-paced financial institution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead the mainframe technical support team to ensure 24/7 availability and optimal performance of mainframe systems.
  • Oversee incident, problem, and change management processes related to mainframe services.
  • Collaborate with application teams, infrastructure teams, and vendors to resolve technical issues and implement improvements.
  • Develop and enforce operational policies, procedures, and standards for mainframe systems.
  • Monitor system performance, capacity planning, and resource allocation to meet business needs.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal IT governance policies.
  • Prepare and present reports on service performance, risks, and issues to senior management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in mainframe technical support or service management, preferably in the banking or financial services sector.
  • Strong knowledge of mainframe technologies such as z/OS, CICS, IMS, JCL, and related tools.
  • Proven experience in managing technical teams and service delivery operations.
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and service management frameworks.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications in ITIL, PMP, or mainframe technologies.
  • Experience with automation and modernization initiatives for mainframe environments.
