Investment Advisor

You'll work with clients to understand their investment needs and provide tailored advice to help them achieve their aspirations. How you succeed It starts with building strong relationships with your clients. You'll take the time to understand their financial goals, risk tolerance, and investment horizon. From there, you'll provide expert advice and guidance to help them make informed investment decisions. Your success will be measured by the trust and loyalty you build with your clients.

What you do

1. Provide portfolio advisory support to Relationship Managers (RMs), with a focus towards Unit Trust & Treasury Products

2. Interpretation and forecasting of economic data, translating them into actionable trade or product ideas, and sourcing of investment products

3. Portfolio counselling to clients (market views, trade ideas, explanation of products) by collaborating with RMs on joint client meetings, and preparing investment proposals

4. Monitor and execute trades for clients across a range of financial instruments

5. Conduct continuing education for RMs on unit trusts, treasury products, investment basics, portfolio allocation strategies, etc

6. Contributing towards regular investment publications (eg, newsletters, product summaries, trade recommendations) for distribution to clients

Who you are

1. Minimum 3 or more years relevant experience in investment advisory, research, sales or trading in currencies, equity or other Treasury related products

2. A good university degree or the equivalent in professional qualification preferred

3. Sound analytical mind and ability to interpret economic news and data

4. Candidates who have passed Levels 1, 2 or 3 of CFA preferred

5. The candidate must have experience in Unit Trusts and portfolio allocation, in the capacity of unit trusts product managers or investment consultants or similar roles

6. Possess strong interest in and understanding of economics and financial markets, particularly in FX and/or equity markets

7. Ideally candidate should have experience in one or more of the following wealth management products; bonds, equities, FX, Bancassurance and Unit Trust

8. Must have or willing to learn a broad based investment-related exposure and background in order to multi-task within a small team

9. Candidate should ideally be mature, confident, and able to play a meaningful role in client meetings

10. Able to communicate effectively with English and Mandarin/Bahasa Indonesia speaking customers

11. Excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills with ability to work collaboratively across the organization
