Be at the heart of OCBC's dynamic trading floor. As a Financial Data Support Intern within Global Markets, you'll help ensure smooth, secure operations while building valuable automation skills. You'll gain firsthand experience in a fast-paced environment, contributing to the accuracy and efficiency of critical daily processes – and shaping your future in finance.

You'll succeed by combining a meticulous eye for detail with a passion for problem-solving. Focus on understanding existing workflows, identifying opportunities for automation, and then building practical solutions using your VBA skills. A proactive approach, a willingness to learn, and clear communication will be key to collaborating effectively with the team and delivering impactful results.

Your day-to-day will involve a blend of monitoring and development:

• Perform essential daily monitoring checks - including after-hours trading, physical access, and fair dealing – ensuring compliance and operational integrity.
• Design, develop, and implement VBA-based tools to automate routine tasks and data processing, improving accuracy and freeing up team time.
• Collaborate with the team to identify areas for workflow improvements and automation opportunities.
• Contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of existing automation tools.
• Assist with ad-hoc data analysis and reporting as needed.

Who you are:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field.
• Proficient in Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) – this is essential.
• Detail-oriented, with a commitment to accuracy and precision.
• Proactive and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
• A strong team player with excellent communication skills.
• A logical thinker with a passion for problem-solving.
