Train Service Supervisor

Business Unit: New York City Transit Location: Brooklyn, NY, United States Regular/Temporary: Regular

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing, maintaining and distributing "A" and "B" Division General Orders, systemwide
  • Coordinating with Operations Planning, Field Operations, Construction & Development and MOW to ensure the safe and timely distribution of Service Diversions
  • Formulating Emergency Service Diversions and Action Plans such as, but not limited to, floods, track conditions, winter operations and any other emergency conditions

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of one (1) year in the title of Train Service Supervisor
  • Desired Skills:
    • Flexibility to the needs of the unit relating to hours of work especially in emergency situations
    • Knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook, Paint and Adobe Acrobat
    • Knowledge of "A" and "B" Track Schematics, Signal and Third Rail Diagrams
    • General knowledge of Service Diversion and Planning Strategies
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to read and understand Service Plans distributed by Operations Planning

Selection Method:

  • Based on evaluation of education, skills, experience and interview
