We're looking for engineers who bring fresh ideas from all areas, including information retrieval, distributed computing, large-scale system design, networking and data storage, security, artificial intelligence, natural language processing, UI design and mobile; the list goes on and is growing every day. As a software engineer, you will work on a specific project critical to Google's needs with opportunities to switch teams and projects as you and our fast-paced business grow and evolve. We need our engineers to be versatile, display leadership qualities and be enthusiastic to take on new problems across the full-stack as we continue to push technology forward.

We are establishing a high-leverage team of Forward Deployed Engineers (FDEs) to serve as the 'Human API' for our accounts. In this role, you will own customer technical success and the realization of business outcomes. By bridging the 'last mile,' you will ensure our AI developer tools deliver sustained value while directly influencing the product roadmap through real-world insights. Your mission is to foster a growing Google developer ecosystem, curate seamless 'Day Zero' experiences, and architect secure, standardized paths for agents and applications on Google Cloud.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $197,000-$291,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities:

• Own the customer's technical journey from initial engagement through sustained success.
• Rapidly architect, prototype, and implement bespoke solutions to technical gaps, ensuring the realization of specific business outcomes.
• Act as the primary technical conduit between customer usage and the core engineering roadmap.
• Systematically codify field learnings and bespoke solutions into reusable product patterns, translating them into high-fidelity, scalable product requirements and feature requests for internal teams.
• Secure and convert high-value accounts into successful long-term adopters and users.
• Transform customers into passionate advocates by ensuring technical and business outcomes are met. Cultivate strong relationships, driving Advocacy Score improvements and enabling references for marketing and future customer engagements.
• Ensure technical success in customer environments, focusing on the secure and scalable building, deployment, and operation of AI agents and applications.
