Location: 7 World Trade Center, 250 Greenwich Street, New York, NY 10007 (Principal place of business - telecommuting permitted)

Duties:

• Work with software tools to design and develop applications and systems.
• Deliver code changes related to bug fixes and new feature development in new and existing software systems.
• Write and maintain unit tests to ensure test coverage meets or exceeds organizational standard.
• Collaborate with Agile Squad to deliver prioritized business value through software solutions.
• Communicate clearly with technical leadership to express ideas and approaches through the pull request process.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to backlog grooming, story estimation and retrospectives.
• Learn and improve existing knowledge in libraries, technologies, and platforms relevant to organization.
• Develop and program complex features for core analytics and cashflow engines.
• Interpret business requirements in collaboration with Business Analyst team.
• Provide input into technical design at the story and/or module level.
• Perform bug fixes/ enhancements to existing software products.
• Investigate and find root cause for software problems reported by clients.
• Participate in regular code reviews and evaluations in order to understand clean code design, as well as receive continuous feedback on contributions to the team.

Telecommuting Permitted (100% telecommuting position. Will consider applicants resident in the continental U.S.).

Requirements:

• Requires a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field plus two (2) years of experience as a Software Engineer or in a related position performing software development and designing technical solutions.
• Must have experience with the following: architecting, designing, developing, and implementing solutions to support enhancements and bug fixes in existing and new applications; applying knowledge of Core Java, Multithreading concepts, design patterns, and software development methodologies, including Agile, and Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment for applications development; working with C++, PL/SQL, Postgres, Python, Unix, Shell, GitHub, BitBucket, Oracle, and Confluence; working with open source code and frameworks; and using build tools, including Maven and GIT.

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $131,997 to $169,000/yr, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation.
