Provide the restaurant, including the catering department, with leadership and supervision. Ensure proper preparation and execution of all Italian specialty food and pizza dishes (vegetarian and non-vegetarian) and beverages for restaurant's in-house consumption and take out as well as other meetings and special events. Ensure the highest guest satisfaction. Responsible for managing the entire operational planning and budgeting including buying/procurement, revenue projections, menu preparation and pricing, department expenses to optimize food, beverage, labor and supplies cost controls. Ensure that the restaurant meets operational/food safety standards and labor laws. Negotiate with vendors to enter into contracts for inventory supplies. Monitor and coordinate the activities of the cooks and workers engaged in food preparation. Review of staff performance. Make recommendations to senior management in improving operations and customer service and assist senior management with decision making and policy formation. Supervise 4 cooks and waiters.
Minimum requirements: 2 years of relevant experience as a restaurant professional. Any suitable combination of education, training & experience is acceptable. Job location in New York, NY.
