Point72, L.P. has an opening for a Network Support Engineer in New York, NY. This position is hybrid; may work up to two days at home per week, as permitted. Part of a team engineering and operating the foundational technology platforms that power Point72's applications. Mitigate operational issues, diagnose, and resolve critical outages and execute new procedures and implementations. Serve as primary escalation point for operational issues. Partner with engineering team to develop operational handoff to transition new initiatives into full operational support. Work closely with vendors to ensure timely problem resolution. Respond to emergency work requests, troubleshoot network failures and errors. Diagnose, isolate, and resolve routine to highly complex network-related problems ensuring timely results and minimal disruption of operations. Develop, monitor, and implement network security procedures for safeguarding all networking systems. Collaborate with team members on design, engineering and troubleshooting responsibilities. Update documentation to ensure accuracy and effective handoff. Interact with other Technology teams regarding new application deployments and service installations. Provide recommendations on process and system enhancements. Maintain network monitoring tools to ensure reliability. Must possess at least a bachelor's degree or its equivalent in Network Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Engineering or in a related field and at least 5 years of progressive experience as a Network/Operations Engineer or a related role. Must also possess the following: at least 5 years of experience with at least two of the following: Cisco, Arista, Palo Algo, F5 and/or Cloud Technologies; at least 5 years of experience with Unicast Routing protocols including BGP, EIGRP and or OSPF; at least 3 years of experience with Multicast Routing protocols including PIM, MSDP, Anycast RP; at least 3 years of experience in troubleshooting, diagnosing/resolving network system issues in high performance compute or low latency environments; and at least 3 years of experience with Network automation, programmability, or Network Telemetry (gRPC, NETCONF, SNMP).
