We are seeking a Senior Network Support Analyst to join our Network Management Center (NMC) team. In this role, you will provide critical support for a leading provider of advanced network services, ensuring network resilience and rapid service restoration. You will work closely with internal teams to monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain network elements across Layer 1, 2, and 3 technologies.
The Senior Network Support Analyst will manage end-to-end technical support, from identifying service impairments to full resolution. Responsibilities include monitoring network events, conducting intrusive testing for Ethernet, VPN, ELAN, and IP services, and managing trouble tickets. You will apply strong technical proficiency in Ethernet switching (VLANs, STP, trunking, port-channeling) and routed networks (OSPF, BGP, VRFs), troubleshoot LAN handoffs, and interface with multiple teams to coordinate repairs and updates. Participation in scheduled maintenance windows and on-call rotations is required.
Minimum 3 years of NOC or Network Engineering experience. Must have prior experience working for a telecommunications or broadband company as a Network Analyst. Bachelor's degree in Networking, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or equivalent experience preferred. Cisco certifications (CCNA or CCNP) strongly preferred. Hands-on experience with DWDM, Ethernet, Layer 2/3 switching, and routing technologies. Familiarity with LAN protocols and troubleshooting methodologies. Experience using CLI across Cisco, Juniper, or Nokia devices. Strong communication skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and network monitoring tools. Ability to work flexible hours in a 24x7 environment, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call rotations. Performance standards include maintaining 99.999% network availability and meeting MTTR objectives.
Salary up to $80,000 annually, based on experience. This is a Permanent position based out of New York, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $38.00/hr.
