Lead Engineer

We are seeking both a mechanical and an electrical engineer with more than 8 years of experience. A Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred. The role involves leading mechanical or electrical design from schematic through construction administration, as well as mentoring a small team of five people.

Responsibilities:

• Lead mechanical or electrical design projects from schematic through construction administration.
• Mentor and guide a small team of five engineers.
• Utilize Revit and AutoCAD for production, markups, and coordination.
• Ensure grounded knowledge of relevant codes and standards.
• Engage in client-facing communications and cross-discipline coordination.

Essential Skills:

• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
• Extensive knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering principles.
• Strong client-facing communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate across disciplines.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Willingness to travel.
• Excellent technical writing skills.
• Outstanding verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
• Proven success in both solo and team projects.
• Strong planning, organization, and analytical skills.
• Demonstrated ability in concept formation, problem-solving, and design.

Work Environment:

Work hours are from 8 AM to 5 PM or 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, with the flexibility of working from home on Fridays. The team consists of 15 people. Projects focus on office interiors, data centers, financial institutions, schools, healthcare, and infrastructure projects. This is a contract position based out of New York, NY.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $75.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
