Business Services Specialist Ii

This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from our New York, NY office. What the day will look like:

  • Support the client service teams in a highly collaborative, team-oriented environment.
  • Responsible to draft Shell Aon Client reports, input information in databases, pull and collate Benchmarking data.
  • Prepare invoice requests and applicable insurance premium tax worksheets.
  • Prepare and check computations of appropriate insurance premium taxes.
  • Prepare invoice summaries.

This role is to support the team on day-to-day information management activities related to handling new or renewing international property and liability programs.

Skills and experience that will lead to success:

Requirements:

  • Become conversant with insurance policy terms and conditions specific to the lines of insurance being serviced.
  • Prepare Preferred Lead Policies.
  • Prepare Preferred Follow Form Policies (PFFP's).
  • Ensure files are maintained in a timely fashion.
  • Input and/or check all data into data systems.
  • Ensure compliance with Aon or Professional Services systems or processes, including, but not limited to: Transparency Reports; Global Risk Insight Platform (GRIP); File Insert System; P&C Invoice Database and Policy Intake & Delivery System.
  • Conform to internal transparency and other Professional Services and Aon protocols.
  • Maintain daily diary and outstanding list on all client accounts.
  • Preparation of invoice and surplus lines tax packages.
  • Resolve accounting discrepancies with the Central Invoicing and Tax Unit (CITU).
  • Undertake various duties as assigned.
  • Willingness to obtain the New York Brokers License within 120 days of employment and take additional insurance courses.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and analytical abilities required.
  • Proficient in PC office products such as Word and Excel (intermediate to advanced preferred).
  • Strong organizational skills required.
  • Ability to work well under pressure with attention to detail.
  • Team oriented self-starter with ability to organize, prioritize, monitor and control workflow deadlines and be flexible.
  • Technically/detail oriented.
  • Be energetic/have a proven sense of urgency.

Education:

High School diploma or equivalent

Pay Transparency Laws:

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $65,000 - $70,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location. The salary range reflected is based on a primary work location of New York, NY. The actual salary may vary for applicants in a different geographic location.
