Associate Researcher I

We are seeking a Associate Researcher I with strong analytical skills and a passion for data-driven discovery. The successful candidate will play a key role in collecting, organizing, and analyzing research data to support ongoing studies and projects. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams—including scientists and clinicians—to derive insights that advance our research objectives.

Qualifications

Bachelors or Masters degree in science or related field required. No experience required. One year of research experience preferred. Experience with Data Science related to the cardiovascular field. Experience with data visualization tools and biostatistics. Understanding of statistical concepts, data cleaning, and exploratory data analysis. Excellent attention to detail, organization, and documentation skills. Ability to communicate results effectively in written and verbal formats. Prior experience contributing to peer-reviewed research or publications. Flexible work arrangements (on-site, hybrid, or remote).

Responsibilities

Collect, clean, and manage datasets from various sources. Conduct statistical analyses, develop visualizations, dashboards, and reports to communicate findings. Support study design, data documentation, and quality control processes. Assist in drafting research manuscripts, abstracts, and grant applications. Collaborate with team members to ensure data integrity, reproducibility, and compliance with institutional and ethical standards. Stay current on data analysis methodologies and emerging tools relevant to the research area. Performs other related duties.

Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $58661 - $77125.98 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
