Reports directly to the Deputy Director of the When and Where Unit. Serves as Field Engineer for the Parks and Land Bridges in all boroughs i.e. Citywide; lead one or more engineering divisions or bureaus; oversee large-scale design and construction projects. Exercise independent judgment in the management and execution of engineering. Represent the agency in high-level meetings, negotiations, and public or interagency forums. Supervise teams and provide strategic leadership on projects requiring exceptional creativity, professional competence, or community impact. May serve as an Engineer in Charge or Executive Engineer for major programs and initiatives. Performs related duties. Serve as a technical consultant on complex engineering matters. Review and approve plans for the construction, repair, or alteration of infrastructure and buildings under city, state, or federal jurisdiction.
