What You'll Do

Actively monitor and assess plant performance to ensure optimal efficiency, functionality, and safety standards. Qualify as a key member of our QCU (Quality Control Unit), ensuring all operations meet the highest standards of quality and safety. Ensure adherence to FDA compliance programs, following cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices) and UIG's internal quality systems. Conduct rounds, surveying plant operations, grounds, and equipment. Take readings on critical systems, observe functionality, and document any abnormalities for corrective action. Stay current with QMS (Quality Management System) updates, process-related procedures, and training to uphold regulatory and company standards. Use quality assurance tools and equipment, including process analyzers and gas chromatographs, ensuring accurate and reliable data. Use calibration standards, including inspection, testing, and measurement equipment, as well as calibration gas cylinders. Perform routine analytical calibrations and adjustments. Read and interpret technical drawings, PID's, manuals, and documentation to support plant operations and maintenance. Safely execute planned maintenance tasks, ensuring equipment and systems are functioning optimally and safely. Provide assistance and technical support to other UIG locations across the country as required, contributing to a unified approach to quality and operations. This position is located in Blytheville, AR.

What You'll Need

High School Diploma or GED. Associate's degree or technical school certification is preferred. Relevant military, industrial gas/cryogenics technical practice, or continuous process facilities experience. General knowledge of electrical and instrumentation equipment in process plant environments. Willingness to work 12-hour rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Availability to work overtime as required, with shared on-call responsibilities on a rotating schedule. Ability to work independently and take initiative. Comfortable working safely at heights up to 200 feet and capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. Ability to use basic hand tools such as wrenches, hammers, screwdrivers, etc., to perform maintenance and repairs.
