Job Summary
The Senior ServiceNow Developer will contribute to design, development, and configuration efforts on the ServiceNow platform, working closely with the Solution Architect and Business Analyst during requirement gathering and solution validation. This role demands strong hands-on experience across at least two modules from ITSM, IRM, and HRSD, along with proven expertise in domain separation and multi-tenant configurations. Experience with generative AI capabilities, specifically using Now LLM on the ServiceNow platform, is highly desirable to enhance automation and intelligent service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with architects and BAs to understand and translate business requirements into technical designs.
- Actively participate in discovery and requirement workshops with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Configure and customize multiple ServiceNow modules, including ITSM, IRM, and HRSD.
- Lead domain separation setup, including domain hierarchy design, domain tagging, and enforcing domain-specific data access policies.
- Develop platform artifacts including client scripts, business rules, UI policies, data policies, and workflows using Flow Designer.
- Build and maintain integrations with third-party systems using REST, SOAP, IntegrationHub, and MID Server technologies.
- Perform unit testing, support UAT, and assist with defect resolution and change requests.
- Maintain comprehensive technical documentation and configuration records in line with internal standards.
- Mentor junior developers and participate in code reviews to ensure quality and compliance.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- 5+ years of ServiceNow platform development and configuration experience.
- Expertise in at least two modules among ITSM, Integrated Risk Management (IRM), and HR Service Management (HRSM).
- Demonstrated experience in configuring and managing domain separation and multi-tenant environments in ServiceNow.
- Strong scripting skills (JavaScript) for Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, UI Actions, and Flow Designer workflows.
- Solid understanding of ACLs, data models, platform architecture, and security best practices.
- Experience with integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, MID Server, and IntegrationHub.
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) required; Certified Application Developer (CAD) or Implementation Specialist certification preferred.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and client collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Practical experience with ServiceNow generative AI capabilities including Now LLM for building intelligent workflows or automated conversational agents.
- Experience working in large-scale enterprise ServiceNow implementations with governance and compliance considerations.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and service management frameworks.
- Ability to work effectively in agile, cross-functional teams.
- Prior experience mentoring or leading technical resources is an advantage.
