We are currently seeking a Mainframe Engineer/Developer to join our team in Westlake, Texas (US-TX), United States (US).

We are seeking a Mainframe Developer with good COBOL and JCL, DB2, and CICS skills who will be responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining mainframe applications that support critical business processes.

Job Responsibilities Include:

• Collaborating with business analysts and project managers to gather requirements and design technical solutions
• Creating and executing test plans to ensure application functionality and quality
• Participating in code reviews and providing feedback to other developers to ensure code quality and adherence to standards
• Troubleshooting and resolving application issues in a timely and efficient manner
• Keeping up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to suggest process improvements or new solutions.

Basic Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience writing, testing, and debugging COBOL programs using established coding standards and best practices
• 5+ years of experience developing and maintaining JCL scripts to manage batch processing and job scheduling
• 5+ years of experience designing, developing, and maintaining DB2 databases to support application data needs
• 5+ years of experience writing and maintaining CICS transaction programs to provide online access to mainframe applications

Preferred Skills:

Should possess good knowledge on CICS, COBOL, DB2, VSAM, MQ and JCL. Good CICS System knowledge. Good understanding of CICS Dynamic Transaction Routing process. Should be familiar with DB2 tools, File-Aid, scheduler and debugger tools. Good communication and ability to interact with Partners. General knowledge in core Java and Front-end Technologies (Angular) is plus. Endeavor Software Manager migration tool/process. SFTP/AWXAY Secure File transfer knowledge. Ability to work independently and within a team structure
