Computer Support Technician – On-Site (Hospital Environment)
We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Computer Support Technician to join our on-site IT team at a hospital. This role is responsible for supporting, repairing, replacing, and relocating computers and peripherals throughout the facility. While healthcare experience is a plus, it is not required. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to service excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on support for desktop computers, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Install, configure, and upgrade operating systems and applications.
- Relocate and set up IT equipment for staff moves and department changes.
- Use ServiceNow to manage and document support tickets and work performed.
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to minimize disruption to patient care.
- Escalate complex issues to higher-level support teams when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with hospital IT policies, including data security and privacy standards.
- Support mobile devices and hospital-specific applications.
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding of hospital staff from an IT perspective.
- Participate in routine maintenance, patching, and updates of systems.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional demeanor in all interactions.
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a technical support role.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or technical training in IT preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a healthcare or hospital environment.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar ITSM tools.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong customer service orientation and attention to detail.
- Certifications (Preferred but Not Required):
- CompTIA A+
- CompTIA Network+
- Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate
- Apple Certified Support Professional (ACSP)
- ITIL Foundation Certification
Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The pay range for this role is $31.00/hr. Actual compensation will depend on several factors, including the candidate's relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.
