Overview

As a Network Engineer L3, you are responsible for the planning, implementation, and operation of complex WLAN infrastructures as well as the provision of managed networking services for our customers. You act as a technical expert for wireless networks and support the operation in highly available enterprise environments.

Main Tasks

• Design, configuration, and maintenance of WLAN networks (access points, controllers, SSID management).
• Implementation and operation of managed networking services (LAN/WLAN), including monitoring, incident, and change management.
• Analysis and resolution of network problems at L3 level (routing, switching, wireless).
• Cooperation with service management and customers to ensure SLAs.
• Documentation of network designs, WLAN heatmaps, and handover processes.
• Support in migrations and rollouts for WLAN and managed services projects.
• Ensuring security policies (802.1X, WPA3, Privileged Access Management).

Required Knowledge & Skills

• Wireless Technologies: WLAN standards (802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax), RF design, roaming, QoS.
• Network Protocols: VLAN, STP, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP).
• Technologies: Cisco Wireless (Catalyst, Meraki), LAN/WLAN Controller.
• Managed Services Tools: ServiceNow, ITSM-Integration
• Security: 802.1X, NAC, network segmentation.
• Languages: German and English (fluent).

Required Certifications

• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP Enterprise Wireless)
• ITIL Foundation (for managed services processes)
