Your Day at NTT DATA

As a Cross Technology Managed Services Engineer (L2) at NTT DATA, you will provide operational (BAU) support for mission-critical communication and operational technology (OT) systems supporting critical communications operation. The role ensures high availability, safety compliance, and operational resilience of communication systems used for process control, telemetry, safety systems, and emergency response, across onshore and offshore assets.

Responsibilities

BAU Operations & Service Continuity

• Deliver Level 2 operational support for communications and OT systems
• Monitor infrastructure performance, alarms, and fault events to ensure continuous availability
• Respond to incidents, service requests, and degradations within agreed SLA and operational risk thresholds
• Perform troubleshooting, configuration adjustments, and controlled restorations
• Escalate complex or repeat issues to Level 3 with structured diagnostic information

Technology Operations Scope

Operational responsibility includes, but is not limited to:

• Industrial Pervasive Wireless Networks (Explosion-proof / ATEX-certified Access Points)
• Private LTE & Private 5G networks supporting field mobility and automation
• Satellite Communications (VSAT, Starlink) for offshore and remote sites
• Digital Microwave (PtP, PtMP) and long-haul backhaul links
• Troposcatter systems for remote or hostile terrain environments
• Subsea fiber optic systems, landing stations, and monitoring
• UHF / VHF / HF radio systems for marine, aviation, and emergency use
• Non-Directional Beacon (NDB) and auxiliary navigation radios
• Digital Trunked Radio Systems (DTRS) such as TETRA / P25
• Public Address & General Alarm (PAGA) and emergency notification systems
• Remote Operations Center (ROC) connectivity, including:
• DCS telemetry
• Industrial fiber networks
• Metering and control communications

Skills & Experience Mandatory

• 3 years of experience in telecommunications or OT operations in Oil & Gas, utilities, or heavy industry
• Hands on experience supporting radio, wireless, microwave, and satellite systems
• Working knowledge of IP networking in OT environments
• Experience operating under on call models
• Familiarity with offshore/onshore operational constraints

Desirable

• Exposure to DCS connectivity and industrial telemetry
• Experience with classified or safety critical systems
