As Business Development Manager within Global Marketing in Household Care (HHC), you will play a pivotal role in scaling Novonesis' global microbial cleaning business. Positioned within the MP&M (Medical, Professional & Microbial cleaning) area in HHC Business Operations, this role brings together strategy, commercialization, and sustainability to drive meaningful business impact. The role requires both strategic thinking and hands-on execution, with responsibility for driving projects from analysis to implementation.

You will join a focused, high-impact team and work closely with Regional Sales, Technical Service, R&D, and key customers worldwide. Together, we are redefining cleaning - replacing traditional chemistry with biological solutions that deliver strong performance with a lower environmental footprint.

The Role & Your Impact

As Business Development Manager, you will own and drive key parts of the global microbial cleaning business across both consumer and professional applications. This is a highly visible role that combines strategic direction-setting with hands-on execution - giving you the opportunity to shape and scale a business area with significant global potential.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Defining and executing global business development strategies to accelerate growth
  • Building and converting a strong commercial pipeline in collaboration with regions, distributors, and key customers
  • Driving pricing and portfolio optimization initiatives to unlock value and strengthen commercial consistency
  • Translating technical capabilities and market insights into clear, differentiated customer value propositions
  • Acting as a strategic partner to regional teams, supporting prioritization and execution of key opportunities
  • As the business evolves, so will your scope - offering increasing responsibility and influence over time.

What You'll Need to Be Successful

To succeed in this role, you combine strong commercial mindset with analytical sharpness and the ability to navigate complexity across functions and markets. You are a structured thinker with commercial judgment, take ownership and drive initiatives forward, and collaborate effectively with stakeholders across the organization.

Required qualifications and experience:

  • Master's degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, or a related field
  • 3–6 years of experience in business development, commercial roles, or strategy consulting
  • Solid experience with pricing, margin analysis, or commercial decision-making
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a structured approach to complex challenges
  • Ability to translate technical solutions and market dynamics into clear customer value
  • Experience working cross-functionally with commercial, technical, and R&D stakeholders
  • Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken)

Additional Skills & Interests We Value

  • Experience from B2B industries such as ingredients, chemicals, or FMCG
  • Exposure to pricing projects, portfolio optimization, or go-to-market strategy
  • Experience working with distributors and/or international markets
