Financial Reporting & Accounting Expert

To provide expert advice to superiors for Financial Reporting & Accounting and manage the reporting and accounting requirements for the general ledger; to ensure compliance with external and internal accounting reporting requirements in a timely and accurate manner.

Location: Hybrid. CDMX

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform daily tax compliance, reporting and operational processes (preparation and filing of direct, indirect and withholding tax returns)
  • Knowledge of taxes in different countries (LaCan) preferred.
  • Develop and maintain standardized tax processes, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Perform tax calculations and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness in time and manner.
  • Ensure proper documentation and retention of tax records and filings
  • Coordinate and prepare responses to tax authorities.
  • Hold meetings with other areas of the Company if necessary.
  • Stay informed of legislative and regulatory changes that may impact operations in the Region for each country.
  • Submit proper documentation and retention of tax records and filings.
  • Collaborate in relations with external advisors.
  • Teamwork in Tax Operations with managers and team.

Required Skills:

  • Tax compliance expertise and knowledge of countries in the region, financial and accounting knowledge.
  • Analytical skills, organization skills, attention to detail, data analysis, process management.
  • SAP knowledge, Vertex knowledge (desirable).
  • Communication skills, teamwork, problem solving ability, stakeholder collaboration, time management.
  • Documentation and compliance skills, adaptability, ethics and integrity, confidentiality management.
  • Medium to high level of English language.
